Veteran actor Sunil Hettiarachchi passed away at the age of 78 following prolonged illness.

Better known as a comedian, he started his cinema career in 1982, playing a role in the remake of Kadawunu Poronduwa.

He acted in a number of tele-dramas and stage-dramas as well.
