Former President and Kurunegala District MP Mahinda Rajapaksa will not attend the vote on the budget proposals this afternoon, his Media Coordinator Rohan Welivita told Asian Mirror.

Rajapaksa will remain at his residence in Mirihana.

The former President had been vocal on his opposition to the budget proposals, publicly criticizing it during several speeches recently. However, he did not speak on the budget proposals in Parliament.
