Leader of the House Lakshman Kiriella asked all government Ministers and MPs to attend the vote on the Second Reading of the Budget, which will be held at 5.00pm on Wednesday.

Kiriella made this announcement today.

This announcement came as the opposition has vowed to defeat the budget proposals. Meanwhile, the government claims that several opposition MPs will also support the budget.
