Heavy traffic was reported in Borella and the nearby areas as the protest march by the Inter University Students' Federation entered Borella.

The five day Kandy-Colombo march started for its final day from Kiribathgoda. The marchers are thought to be moving towards the UGC in Town Hall, Colombo.

The IUSF and its affiliated organizations take part in the march, pressing forward several demands, including the abolition of private universities.
