The SLFP Parliamentarians who sit in opposition will meet President Maithripala Sirisena to discuss their stance on the budget proposals, Kalutara District MP Kumara Welgama told media this afternoon.

He revealed this following the SLFP Parliamentary team's meeting with Sirisena today at the Presidential Secretariat.

Welgama said that the President wanted them to discuss the matter with a group of ministers. However, they insisted on discussing with only the President, Welgama said.

Meanwhile, SLFP General Secretary Duminda Dissanayake said that the party decision making bodies will take the decisions on the budget.
