JVP Political Bureau Member K. D. Lal Kantha on Thursday issued a serious warning to the government, saying that it was the last day of the golden era of Maithri-Ranil government.

The dark age of Maithri-Ranil government is going to start from the day it presents the budget, Lal Kantha said, addressing the general meeting of All Ceylon Port Workers’ Union.

The budget for the year 2016 will be presented to the Parliament today.

“The budget of good governance government is not people-friendly. This government would not last long if they keep neglecting people’s voice in this manner”, Lal Kantha said.
