The Ravana Balaya organization today handed over a letter to the Presidential Secretariat, opposing the release of ex-LTTE inmates from prisons.

Speaking to media, Ravana Balaya Convener Ittakande Saddhatissa Thera said that the cases of the ex-LTTE inmates should be accelerated in a special court. They can be then released if they are not guilty, he added.

However, releasing them regardless of the past increases the likelihood of another war, Saddhatissa Thera also said.
