Fort Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage re-issued notice on five activists involved in a Satyagraha campaign near the Fort Railway Station, to appear in court on Friday (20).
The five activists are Sanjeewa Bandara, Duminda Nagamuwa, Dharmasiri Lankapeli, Ajith Kumara Vidyaratna and Niranjali Gunaratnam.
They were issued notice yesterday by the Fort Magistrate to appear in court today. However, none of them appeared in court today.
Police informed the Magistrate that they handed over the notice to the residences of the five individuals.
They are involved in a Satyagraha, demanding the release of Frontline Socielist Party Central Committee Member Kumar Gunaratnam.
They are being summoned on a complaint of the Fort Police, on allegedly causing public disturbance and violating Railways Ordinance.
