Some politicians in the government misled and deceive people in the name of "good governance", Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva said.
Speaking at a meeting in Bandarawela recently, de Silva said that the actions of certain individuals do not conform with the accepted norms of good governance.
While he did not name anyone in particular, de Silva said that the people are sufficiently intelligent to figure out as to who these individuals are.
Meanwhile, de Silva also said that he will remain in government since he want to serve the people. However, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party 'owns' not even a half of the government, he said.
He added that the SLFP was also thinking of winning back power in a general election in future. The party needs to start working on it from now on, he said.
