Responding to recent remarks made on his father,Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, Rakhitha Rajapakshe today lashed out at Minister Rajitha Senaratne saying that Senaratne had 'officially made a split of the Government.'

Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Rajitha Senaratne recently criticized Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe's comments on the Avent Garde floating armory issue during a Cabinet meeting.

 

Following a special Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Senaratne said that the government decided to hand over the operations on floating armories to the Navy. Rajapakshe contradicted this statement, saying that the President had only instructed the authorities to find out the possibilities of handing over the operations.

 

Speaking at a press briefing yesterday Senaratne said that Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe and others who switched parties earlier could not defeat Mahinda Rajapaksa until he joined the fight.
