JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake today called for the questioning of former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa over the alleged involvement in the 2012 'arrest' of Kumar Gunaratnam and Dimuthu Artigala.
Speaking at a press conference today, Dissanayake said that Rajapaksa has, for the first time, acknowledged his role in the 'arrest' of political activists.
Meanwhile he vehemently denied that he had any role with Rajapaksa over the arrest of Gunaratnam.
Speaking to a weekend newspaper, Rajapaksa told that Dissanayake repeatedly urged him to arrest and deport Gunaratnam.
