Colombo Crime Division today filed charge sheets against Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera at the Fort Magistrate's Court for making allegedly defamatory statements on the Quran and Islam.

He made these allegedly defamatory statements to the media in front of the Slave Island Police on April 12, 2014.

Fort Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage fixed the case for January 11, 2016.
