Dunesh Priyashantha, who was arrested earlier for the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kotadeniyawa, complained to the National Police Commission yesterday on the conduct of police.
The complaint was filed based on four grounds, his lawyer Udul Premaratne explained.
Accordingly, the complaint has been filed on alleged assault of Priyashantha while in CID custody, taking his signature to a false testimony, spreading a wrong image in society about him and the conduct of the Police Media Spokesman.
SSP Priyantha Jayakody was the Acting Police Spokesman at the time of Priyashantha's arrest.
