A 7.7-magnitude earthquake has struck northern Pakistan, US Geological Survey said. The tremor was felt in the capital, Islamabad, AP reported.
Indian media reported that the earthquake was felt strongly in Jammu and Kashmir. Tremors were felt in the capital, Delhi. The earthquake struck around 2.45pm local time, Indian reports said.
Meanwhile, Xinhua reported that tremors were felt in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, reports indicated that the epicenter of the earthquake is in the Hindu Kush mountains in north eastern Afghanistan.
