Former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is likely to be questioned by the CID in connection with journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda's disappearance, Asian Mirror reliably learns.

The initial investigations have unearthed information to suggest that the journalist has been killed after being questioned at the Girithale Army camp, a highly placed Police sources told Asian Mirror.
It has also been revealed that the journalist was abducted and detained at the army camp following orders from a senior official who played a key role in the country's defence establishment, under the previous regime.
However, the CID is yet to file legal action against the journalist disappearance. More than ten members of the intelligence wing are still in the CID's custody in connection with the journalist's disappearance.
In addition, Brigadier Aruna Wanniarachchi, a senior official attached to the intelligence wing, has also been questioned by the teams handling investigations.
