UNP Central Provincial Councillor Tissa Bandara Herath was today arrested after he surrendered to the police on charges of assaulting a man in Dambulla.

The councilor had allegedly assaulted an individual named R.B. Herath at the Dambulla Economic Centre.

Tissa Bandara Herath will be produced at the Dambulla Magistrate’s Court today.
