TMVP Secretary and former Eastern Provincial Councilor Pubalasingham Prashanthan was arrested in the early hours of this morning, in connection with a double murder committed in 2008.

Kaththankudi police arrested Pubalasingham Prashanthan following a complaint made last by a sister of a victim, who is said to be an eyewitness to the murder.

She has told police that she did not come forward with the information earlier due to fear for her life.

The suspect has been charged for a double murder at Arayampathy, Kaththankudi, on December 13th, 2008.
