The Appropriation bill (first reading) for the year 2016 was tabled in Parliament by the leader of the house Lakshman Kiriella this morning.

The budget speech (second reading) will be delivered on November 20 by Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake.

The third reading is scheduled to be held on December 19.
