A female school teacher was abducted by an unidentified group in Bengamuwa, Matara, this morning.

Accordingly, the 28-year-old was abducted while she was on her way to Welayaya Maha Vidyalaya in Urubokka. The abductors arrived in a van and had forced her into it.

Police launched an investigation on the abduction but are yet to unearth information on those responsible.
