UPFA MP Sanath Nishantha was remanded till tomorrow by the Chilaw Magistrate after he appeared in court today, Police Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara said.
Nishantha was absent in court on September 25, when a case against him was taken up by the courts. The case involved the alleged illegal possession of five live bullets by the MP, who was a member of the Arachchikattuwa Pradeshiya Sabha at the time.
