The Navy has handed over the report into the probe on an arms ship taken into custody recently to the Ministry of Defence.

The ship was taken into custody off the coast of Galle by the navy after suspicion was raised on the information given by the Captain of the ship.

The ship had arrived from Sudan and was taken into custody on October 5.
