Heavy traffic was reported this morning following the introduction of a new traffic plan in Rajagiriya.

Police said that it was taking immediate measures to ease up the situation.

Considerable traffic was also reported from Maharagama where a new traffic plan was also introduced.

Some commuters reported of being late to their work places by as long as an hour.
