The 17-year-old schoolboy, who was recently arrested over the murder of a girl in Kotadeniyawa, arrived at the Human Rights Commission today.

Reports said that he is expected to complain against the Police for arresting him wrongfully and mistreating him.

Meanwhile, the father of one who was arrested along with the schoolboy also arrived at the HRC.

The All Ceylon Teachers' Union also filed a petition at the HRC on behalf of the schoolboy recently.

Police are conducting a separate inquiry into the alleged incident at the Kotadeniyawa Police. The ACTU recently demanded that the Kotadeniyawa OIC Sujith Udaya Kumara be transferred until the police inquiry into the matter in completed.
