The DNA samples of Dunesh Priyashantha alias 'Kondaya', one of the suspects still in custody, did not match with the DNA found on the body of the murdered child in Kotadeniyawa, the Minuwangoda Magistrate said today.

This was revealed when the sealed DNA report was handed over to the Magistrate by the CID.

'Kondaya' was arrested on suspicion of the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kotadeniyawa.

Meanwhile, his elder brother, an individual named Saman Jayalath, confessed to the murder at the Minuwangoda Magistrate's Court on Monday. Jayalath was brought to Genetech in Colombo for DNA testing yesterday.
