Nepal National Cricket Team Coach Pubudu Dassanayake has resigned from his post, bringing an end to a five-year successful coaching career that saw him guide the country to the 2014 ICC World Twenty20.
Dassanayake, who said he resigned citing personal reasons, would coach the national team for the last time during Nepal's ICC World Cricket League (WCL) Championship match against Papua New Guinea (PNG) on November 16 and 18 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
"I have tendered my resignation to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and the WCL match against PNG would be my last assignment. I just want to say that its a personal issue and will join my family back home (in Canada)," Dassanayake told The Kathmandu Post.
