The 2015 Nobel Price for Physiology or Medicine was won by William C. Campbell, Satoshi Omura and Youyou Tu.

The announcement was made a short while ago at the The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet, Nobels väg 1, Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm.

Campbell from the US and Omura from Japan, were awarded the Nobel Prize for discoveries concerning a novel therapy against infections caused by roundworm parasites.

Youyou Tu from China was awarded the award for her discoveries concerning a novel therapy against Malaria.
