Yasir Shah took his third five-for of the series as Pakistan needed just 3.5 overs to get the remaining two Sri Lanka wickets on the second morning.
Rahat Ali struck a second time with the second new ball, trapping Tharindu Kaushal plumb in front with a full delivery. The fast bowler had had an lbw appeal turned down against the same batsman three deliveries before, and Pakistan's review had returned umpire's call, replays showing the ball hitting the top of the stumps.
Yasir was introduced in the next over, and his fifth delivery crashed into Nuwan Pradeep's pad on the forward push. The wicket took Yasir's tally for the series to 22, and made him only the second visiting bowler after Shane Warne to take three five-fors in a Test series in Sri Lanka.
