Former England Test cricketer and renowned cricket commenter Geoff Boycott slammed the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for organizing Two-match Test Series, which he called ‘just a money making business.’
In a discussion with Jonathan Agnew on BBC following the end of the second and final Test between England and New Zealand in Headingly, he said that there is a need for at least a three match Test series.
The 2-match series ended in a draw, with New Zealand leveling the series by comfortably defeating the home side by 199 runs. England won the first Test at Lords Cricket Ground.
Boycott said that the spectators should be given a chance to figure out what the best team is. Holding two-match series is just a silly idea, he added.
