Sri Lankan team participating at the “22nd Asian Junior & Cadet Table Tennis Championships - 2016” left for Thailand yesterday (16th Sept.). The championship is being held from 16th - 21st September in Thailand.

Under the Cadet Boys category, Helitha Hendawitharana, Harshana Karandawela, and Thenuka Ubayasena will be participating, while Thanushi Rodrigo, Imasha De Silva, and Nathasha Sandavinee are participating under Cadet Girls category.

The Junior Boys included Udaya Ranasingha, Krishan Wickramarathne, Supuna Warusawithana, and Dishanka Thennakoon. Hansani Piumila, Chamathsara Fernando, Muthumali Priyadarshani, and Sheshala Bandara will participate under Junior Girls.

The above players have been selected for the Asian Junior T.T. Championship because of their achievements ( 9 gold medals,4 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal)at the South Asian Cadet and Junior T.T. Championship, which was held in  Pakistan in July  2016.

Prabath Nimesh is the Team Manager, D.M.G.S. Kumara is the Team Coach, and Lady Chaperon cum in charge of the School Children is Miss. Kumudi De Silva.
