Director Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming film ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, starring Sushant Singh Rajput as India’s World Cup-winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, will hit the screens on September 2, 2016.

Sushant took Twitter to announce the release of the film.

“#dhoniTheUntoldStory will release on 2nd September 2016. Can’t wait. #neerajpandey @foxstarhindi”, posted the actor, who underwent rigorous training as well as a makeover to essay Dhoni.

Produced by Fox Star Studios and Inspired Entertainment, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, which has been shot extensively in Ranchi, also features veteran actor Anupam Kher, who will be playing the role of Dhoni’s father Pan Singh.

One-film-old actress Kiara Advani will be portraying Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi.
