Virat Kohli praised Yuvraj Singh for his unbeaten 52 in the Indian Premier League match against Delhi Daredevils. The Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper lashed out against the previous criticism of the south-paw and said players of Yuvraj's stature need to be backed.
Star batsman Virat Kohli on Thursday, termed the criticism directed to his India team-mate Yuvraj Singh for his performance in the recent World Twenty20 loss for India against Sri Lanka in Bangladesh as "unfair".
"Yuvraj got criticism recently, it's unfair. He has won us two World Cups (2007 T20 and 2011 50-over), he's a proven match-winner and it's important to back a player like him," Kohli, captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, said after his side's eight-wicket win over Delhi Daredevils in an IPL match here.
