President, Prime Minister Hold Crucial Meeting On Constitutional Council

President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe are holding a crucial meeting to take the final decision on the Counstitutional Council to be established under the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, informed sources told Asian Mirror.

The meeting between the President and the Prime Minister started at 12 noon.

SLFP on Tuesday said that the Constitutional Council should have MPs representing the legislature. Talks between SLFP and the government failed on the issue last night.
