Tamil Maanila Congress leader GK Vasan on Wednesday opposed Bollywood star Salman Khan boosting the electoral fortunes of Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa and said Mahinda Rajapaksa’s 'atrocities' cannot be forgotten.

Talking to reporters, Vasan said President Rajapaksa was giving false promises to win the support of Tamils el.

Vasan also announced that functionaries for his newly found party would be nominated in March after the recruitment of new members ended on January 31.

Vasan said 30 lakh membership cards have been issued and he would now seek members in 15 other districts from January 3 to 30 and boost the recruitment of members.

Accusing Bollywood star Salman Khan of campaigning for Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa in the forth coming Presidential polls in the Island nation, Thamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi (TVK) leader T Velmurugan on Wednesday threatened that Hindi films would not be allowed to be screened in Tamil Nadu, if Hindi films stars continued to remain unmindful of Tamil sentiments.

Further laying accusations Velmurugan said Tamil Nadu Assembly had already declared President Rajapaksa  a war criminal, but the rest of the country cared two hoots to the genocide of Sri Lankan Tamils.
