Minister Dullas Alahapperuma has stated that the common candidate of the opposition Maithripala Sirisena is now with the separatists.
Speaking at a media briefing of the UPFA at Sri Lanka Freedom Party headquarters after TNA announced its decision to support Sirisena, Alahapperuma said that the UPFA candidate President Mahinda Rajapaksa was facing the election with a group which defeated separatism.
He added that in the international arena, Sirisena was with the West which is declining, while Rajapaksa was with Asia, which is developing. He also said that Sirisena was with the reactionaries who destroyed the public sector of the country while the UPFA was with the progressives who strengthened the public sector.
The minister requested the public to follow a national agenda and take the decision in the upcoming election.
