Former Panadura Urban Council Chairman and the Leader of the First Front Nandana Gunathilaka stated that the public opinion is increasingly tilting towards a Maithripala Sirisena victory in the forthcoming presidential election.
Speaking at a press briefing at Colombo yesterday, Gunathilaka said that many ministers in the government have not taken an active role in the presidential campaign of President Rajapaksa. During the next ten days there will be clear changes, he added.
Meanwhile 8 former Provincial Council and Pradeshiya Sabha Members of the UPFA joined the opposition yesterday. Gunathilaka added that others will also join in the next few days.
