President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s manifesto for the presidential election will be released at BMICH today morning.

This election manifesto has been named “Mahinda Chinthana-Lowa Dinana Maga” (Mahinda Chinthana-Path to win the world). The UPFA said that it is an extention of the policies stated in the earlier manifestos, ‘Mahinda Chinthana’ and ‘Mahinda Chinthana Idiri Dakma.’

The manifesto of President Rajapaksa was initially scheduled to be released yesterday but was delayed without any explanation.

Meanwhile the opposition candidate Maithripala Sirisena released his policy statement on December 19 and started a house to house campaign to popularize it on Sunday, 21.
