SLFP General Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa stated that the UPFA government has given only achievable promises and it has delivered most of them.

Speaking at a media briefing yesterday, he said that it will be the same in the third time, unlike the common opposition which has an unachievable set of promises. This is a soup made by many cooks, he added, arguing that many of their promises cannot be delivered.

Yapa also alleged that the promises Sirisena has given to the UNP are absent in the policy statement. This implies that perhaps Maithripala Sirisena might not bow to anyone and act on his own or he may bow to everyone in the alliance, Yapa opined.

Therefore if the common opposition wins the presidential election the future will be uncertain, he said.
