Postal Workers’ Leave Cancelled Until General Election Ends

The leave of all employees in the Postal Department has been cancelled, effective today until November 14. Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe announced the decision, emphasizing the importance of maintaining postal services during this critical period.

Postal workers needing leave for essential reasons must seek permission from the Deputy Postmaster General in their respective provinces. Additionally, he confirmed that the acceptance of registered postal vote reserve packets related to the General Election will begin today. The election is scheduled for November 14.
