Two youths, aged 24 and 34, drowned while bathing in the ‘Ihala Kanhidigama’ lake in Kahatagasdigiliya, police reported. 

The victims, residents of Polgahawela and Pujapitiya, were said to have consumed alcohol before entering the water with two others.

The incident occurred on the evening of October 20. The bodies have been sent to Kahatagasdigiliya Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
