An Indian airline Vistara flight en route from Mumbai made an emergency landing at Bandaranaike International Airport due to a bomb scare. Security sources confirmed that all passengers safely disembarked from the aircraft following the incident.
The scare was part of a wider security alert, with over 10 flights operated by Indian carriers receiving bomb threats in the past 24 hours. These included five IndiGo flights, five Akasa flights, three Vistara flights, and one Air India Express flight.
Earlier on Saturday, bomb threats targeting three Vistara international flights, including a Delhi-London route diverted to Frankfurt, were found to be hoaxes following thorough checks.
