Police are investigating the theft of Rs. 250,000 from the court productions room at the Wariyapola Magistrate’s Court, following a complaint filed by the court registrar. The cash, related to several ongoing court cases, was stored in three envelopes and is believed to have gone missing between July 7 and October 16.

The Wariyapola Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
