Former Sri Lankan cricket captain Tilakratne Dilshan will enter the political arena by contesting in the upcoming parliamentary elections. He will represent the newly formed United Democratic Voice party, led by actor and former MP Ranjan Ramanayake, where he has been appointed as the national organiser.
Joining Dilshan in this political venture is former MP Vadivel Suresh. The party will campaign under the mic symbol and is scheduled to officially launch today at a press briefing in Colombo, where its manifesto will be unveiled.
