The Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs has reported that only 14 out of 41 official residences allocated to former ministers have been returned.

A senior ministry official shows that the residences, located in Colombo and surrounding areas, were requested back following the presidential election. The ministry issued a notice for their return shortly thereafter.

Legal action will be pursued against those who fail to return the residences in a timely manner.
