Applications for postal voting in the upcoming General Election are now being accepted, starting today, October 1. The Election Commission announced that the application period will remain open until October 8.
The election, scheduled for November 14, will utilize the 2024 certified voter list. To assist postal voters, the Election Commission has made the voter lists available for public viewing at all District Secretariats, Divisional Secretariats, Grama Niladhari Offices, and select locations across the island.
Postal voting applications can be obtained free of charge at these locations, from District Election Offices, or downloaded from the Election Commission’s website. Completed applications must be submitted to the District Returning Officer of the relevant district by the October 8 deadline.
