The Ministry of Defence has issued a clarification regarding the Motivation Incentive Allowance for tri-forces personnel. Recent media reports says that the allowance for those on VIP security details had been discontinued.

In a letter to the tri-forces commanders, the Ministry confirmed that personnel assigned to former VIP security would cease receiving the allowance after September 22, 2024, with payments continuing only until that date.

The Ministry emphasized that allowances for personnel assigned to the Chief of Defence Staff, tri-forces commanders, and former Presidents will remain unaffected and will continue as usual.
