A 45-year-old man who was shot this morning on Kadawatha Road has died from his injuries at Kalubowila Hospital. The incident occurred around 6:40 a.m. in front of a residence in the Kalubowila area of the Dehiwala Police Division.

Witnesses reported that the gunman fired two shots, striking the victim near the right shoulder before fleeing the scene. Police believe the shooting may be linked to ongoing conflicts among drug dealers.

The deceased was identified as an employee of the Urban Council.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
