Sri Lankan  businessman Surendra Wasantha Perera, also known as Club Wasantha, was killed in a shooting that occurred in Athurugiriya on Monday morning.

The incident also left five other individuals injured, including popular local singer K. Sujeewa. According to the Police Spokesperson's Office, all of the injured were hospitalized.

The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
