The Police Special Task Force arrested three suspects in Kasbewa with a drug haul valued at nearly Rs. 300 million. The operation resulted in the seizure of 13 kg and 106 grams of heroin, 164 grams of hashish, two firearms, and two vehicles.

The arrested individuals are believed to be key associates of 'Ahungalle Loku Patti', a notorious drug trafficker and organized crime figure currently evading authorities in Dubai. 'Ahungalle Loku Patti' is known for orchestrating the drug trade in the region. The suspects hail from Weerawila, Padukka, and Mt. Lavinia, according to police reports.
