In a move aimed at revitalizing enthusiasm for Test cricket, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced a substantial increase in payments for Sri Lanka’s Test players, effectively doubling their compensation.
The decision, made by SLC, underscores the governing body's commitment to prioritizing Test cricket.

The increased payments, to be implemented based on match contracts, will see Test players receiving approximately USD 15,000 (Rs. 4,450,000) per international match.
