According to the Department of Meteorology, showers are forecasted across several provinces today, primarily in the afternoon.

Anticipate showers or thundershowers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, and Southern provinces post 2:00 p.m. Coastal regions from Galle to Pottuvil via Matara and Hambantota might experience showers or thundershowers in the morning hours as well.

Misty conditions are likely in certain areas of Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Uva provinces during the morning. At sea, expect showers or thundershowers off the coast extending from Pottuvil to Matara via Hambantota, and from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle in the evening or night.

Wind direction will be south-easterly or variable with speeds of 20-30 kmph. Sea conditions around the island will be slight, though during thundershowers, expect temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas.
